150 million vaccinations to be made in 2020 - Ministry of Agriculture
To implement Kazakhstan’s State Program for the Agro-Industrial Complex Development in 2017-2021 for the prevention of especially dangerous diseases of agricultural animals, the Ministry of Agriculture annually provides immunoprophylactic measures using animal drugs certified according to international standards, Strategy2050.kz informs.
In accordance with the plan of veterinary and preventive measures, the Committee for Veterinary Control and Supervision of the Ministry of Agriculture in 2019 procured vaccines against 17 especially dangerous animal diseases (including rabies, aphthous fever, anthrax, black death, pasteurellosis, tuberculosis, variola of small cattle, avian influenza, nodular dermatitis, etc.). Thus, 140 696 651 manipulations on vaccination of animals and birds were performed during the year - 100% implementation of the plan.
It should be added that in 2020 over 150 million vaccinations are planned against 19 especially dangerous animal diseases. Corresponding work will begin in February-March this year.
