Ibrayev: Privatization’s second wave to gain momentum for SME development
"The implementation of the activities of the second wave of privatization will give a new impetus to the development of small and medium-sized businesses. National holdings and companies will receive additional funding required for the development of infrastructure projects," Ibrayev said.
At the same time, he stressed the importance of establishing in the second wave of privatization equal competition in the sphere of private business.
"State enterprises under the jurisdiction of state agencies receive government contracts. This creates unequal competition between private businesses, non-governmental bodies and state-owned enterprises. Addressing inequality is undoubtedly beneficial for entrepreneurs and promote the development of private business," the representative of the Kazakh Ministry of National Economy noted .
In addition, he said, the government reduces its own participation in the competitive environment, as a shareholder of companies that passed for privatization.
"The government, as a shareholder of companies that passed for privatization, cuts his own participation in the competitive environment. New shareholders, firstly, get business, and secondly, a great opportunity to take the initiative to develop it, in the third, the opportunity to valuable frames that are the best experts in their specific industries," Kanat Ibraev resumed.
