Draft Anti-corruption Program’s discussion is over
The draft provides for strengthening of an effective system of public control of the party on the ground. Supervisory boards, health and school boards in the educational institutions have to become one of the key and effective tools of the public control,” First Deputy Chairman of the Astana city branch of "Nur Otan" Party Sapar Akhmetov noted.
According to him, the corruption crimes present in public bodies and private sector prevailing in city’s economy as well.
It will be right to focus on legislative mechanisms’ improvement, decrease of the shadow economy and corruption’s high level particularly in trade and housing and utilities sphere,” S. Akhmetov added.
Besides, it was proposed to introduce legislative norms providing responsibility of public officials for lobbying the corruption interests while decision making.
In general, according to Akhmetov, 49 criminal cases have been opened in 2013 and a half of 2014 year. 6 people brought to administrative liability for corruption offenses.
