Sarinzhipov: Over 8 billion tenge budgeted for new textbooks in 2014

“More than eight billion tenge allocated for the purchase of new textbooks for school institutions in the current academic year,” Minister of Education and Science of Kazakhstan Aslan Sarinzhipov informed during a CCS briefing on Monday.
The Ministry, as the body responsible for standards and policy seeks to ensure 100% provision of our schoolchildren with textbooks.
"We held a series of meetings and, as reported provincial departments of education, almost 100% of students will be provided with textbooks, " the Minister informed speaking on the preparations for the new school year.
