Kazakh Leader lauched new railway lines
A teleconference with the main stations of new railways, located on the territory of Kostanay, Kyzylorda, Aktobe, Mangistau and Karaganda regions was organized in the central square of Zhezkazgan. The leaders of these stations reported on the readiness for operation," the statement reads.
Congratulating all Kazakhstanis, the President called the opening of highways the important socio-economic event of the year.
Nursultan Nazarbayev also noted that over 10 thousand people were involved in the construction of railways. Another three thousand will be provided with permanent job.
“New Zhezkazgan-Beineu and Arkalyk-Shubarkol railway lines will give a momentum to neighboring territories development. Residents and businessmen of Karaganda, Mangistau, Aktobe, Kyzylorda and Kostanai regions will experience the immediate effect. The whole of Kazakhstan will benefit from reducing the distance and time of delivery of agricultural and industrial products,” the President said.
In addition Nursultan Nazarbayev stressed improving transport and logistical capacity of the country.
"Launching of these lines is a landmark event for the global market of transport services in the areas of North-South and East-West. In fact, we have set up own part of the transit corridor from China to Europe, reducing delivery time of goods more than three times. This means a whole new potential, which should be used to the full,” President Nazarbayev noted.
