Kazakhstan lays stress on CICA further institutional strengthening

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Yerlan Irdissov held a meeting with newly appointed Executive Director CEO of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) Ambassador Gong Jianwei to debate the outcomes of IV CICA Summit held on May 21 in Shanghai.
As the Kazakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports, the Kazakh side once again stressed the importance of the CICA further institutional strengthening and establishment of an effective and efficient Organization for Security and Development in Asia (OSDA) on the basis of the CICA given all interests of the participants.
The special attention was given to the strengthening of confidence measures within the CICA. Thus the Kazakh Minister informed on a meeting of CICA military experts scheduled on October in Astana.
Besides, a moving of the CICA Secretariat to Astana and festivities devoted to the CICA Day on October 5 were touched upon.
