Astana Mayor: computer literacy training for teachers to be organized next academic year
“This year we will organize courses in all schools of to raise the level of computer literacy for all teachers of the city. At the end of the academic year were certified teachers to check their computer skills and the Internet," Mr.Tasmagambetov said.
According to the Mayor of the city, these courses should teach teachers have basic office software and peripherals to create and edit presentations, search engines and Internet resources, and others.
“Instruct education department to organize the courses and approve certification rules,” the head of the city added.
According to I. Tasmagambetov just 12% of 11 thousand of city teachers make a free use of Internet and electronic digital devices
Herewith, 16% use of the computer in the learning process to the full, and 45% of teachers have only the most basic level of computer literacy. "It is totally unacceptable in the capital city with its high demands on the teaching potential," the Mayor stressed.
