Teaching Quality Resource Center could be established in Astana

Speaking at the urban plenary session of educators “Innovative education strategy - a factor for sustainable development of the state, society and the individual" with participation of Astana Mayor Imangali Tasmagambetov, head of Astana Education Department Elmira Sukhanberdiyeva proposed to establish Teaching Quality Resource Center.
"The main tasks of the center will be a development of network interaction,” E. Sukhanberdiyeva added.
According to her, the results of the last audit demonstrate the education resources of the city are diverse and needed to be strengthened.
"An important result of networking towards capacity development of teachers of the city lies in the fact that the used form of training allows provide for a significant expansion of the range of professional roles within the profession," the head of the Department of Education of the city said.
In general, 11 856 teachers involved in teaching activities. Percentage of teachers of higher and first category is 55%.
