Kazakh Senate Spekaer discussed int'l situation with British Ambassador
Speaker of the Senate noted the importance of the visit of British Prime Minister David Cameron in Kazakhstan last summer. His talks with President Nursultan Nazarbayev laid the foundation for qualitative growth of cooperation between the two countries in trade, economic and political spheres. In this regard, Mr. Tokayev called for further development of contacts between parliamentarians of the two countries on a bilateral basis and within the framework of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly.
The interlocutors shared views on international situation. C. Browne expressed concern relating continues escalation of Ukraine conflict. K. Tokayev paid attention to active efforts of Nursultan Nazarbayev to search for ways out of the Ukrainian crisis, which became a serious problem with far-reaching consequences for the international situation, the Senate reported.
