32.2 tons of garden products imported via 'green corridor' to Kazakhstan

Since launching of “green corridor” project (December 23,2013) garden products to the amount of 37.2 million dollars the total weight of which 32.3 thousand tons have been imported to Kazakhstan, the Customs Control Committee informed.

The amount of product channeled from China is carried out through the checkpoint "Bakhty". The main products are tomatoeas-40.8%, apples-11.1%, 8.5%-tangerines, peppers-7.9%, 7.6%-nectarines, 5,3%-cucumbers, potato-4.8% 2.4% -eggplants.

The customs authorities take the necessary measures to reduce the time of customs clearance at a checkpoint.

Due to reconstruction at the checkpoint "Bakhty" a separate sector for products was made, staff of the competent authorities responsible for ensuring the smooth passage of agricultural products was determined.

That contributes to the elimination of queues at the border and creates favorable conditions for foreign trade participants.

Also the number of customs inspections carried out at the checkpoint reduced from 661 to the project "Green Corridor", and 29 inspections after the implementation of the project.
