Development of alternative energy within EXPO 2017 discussed in Almaty
Scientific community, international experts in the field of energy efficiency, and representatives of Kazakh energy companies took part in the event, according to Astana EXPO 2017 National Company.
The meeting was focused on successful implementation of various government policies on energy conservation and energy efficiency in various sectors of the economy, aimed at reducing carbon emissions and developing renewable energy sources.
"The participants noted that one of the important mechanisms of state regulation in the field of energy conservation and energy efficiency in many countries of the world are the requirements for the energy performance of buildings (both new and existing), as the highest percentage of energy consumption is necessary for their maintenance and service," the statement reads.
Thus, the event discussed issues on environmental transport, energy-efficient construction standards, the development of small wind turbines in the world of energy efficiency in the context of the Energy Charter "Kazakhstan - EU: 2020" policy and the legislative framework of Kazakhstan in the field of energy conservation and efficiency.
