Kazakhstan to introduce e-health passport in 2016
As the authority reported, an electronic health care single system development within the Concept of the e health development in Kazakhstan for 2013-2020 years were considered at the meeting.
Director of the e-Health Development Department of the Kazakh Ministry of Health and Social development Svetlana Shubina informed the participants about the main results of the e-health system formation. According to her, institutional structures established to provide a definition of e-health policy, the development and implementation of the necessary regulations and standards, establishment and operation of centralized services, services and systems, responsible for the integration and exchange of health information within the country. Formation of a common platform will be finished by 2015.
The introduction of electronic health passports was in the focus of the discussion.
"A central element of e-health should be an e-health passport of every Kazakhstan’s citizen. It is a key summary information on human health, including demographic data, information about past or existing diseases, biometric data, allergenic and immune status as well. it is planned to start implementing electronic health passport in medical organizations of the Republic of Kazakhstan in 2016,” S.Shubina said.
