Besides, such progressive water saving technologies as sprinkling irrigation and drop irrigation, areas of which amounted 8.9 thousand and 970 thousand hectares respectively are introduced in the region.
In addition, according to "Agribusiness 2020" Program, investment subsidies totaling 30% are allocated from the attracted investments. These sums to be equal to 49 million tenge and 204,4 million tenge.
It should be noted the region has reserves and opportunities to expand irrigated areas.
"Today, only 90 (44%) from 205.2 thousand hectares previously irrigated lands are irrigated. Available features will allow to put into circulation 115 thousand more hectares for the next 3-4 years," the report says.
