Kazakhstan’s oncologists completed training abroad
It should be noted, training and skills development of cancer services, having the skills to high-tech methods of diagnosis and treatment of malignant neoplasms in the national and leading foreign clinics and research centers, including the assistance of international organizations is one of the key directions of the oncological assistance development program in Kazakhstan for 2012-2016 years.
In this regard, according to the Ministry of Health and Social Development of Kazakhstan, oncology service specialists are trained in leading international cancer centers where international experts conducted master classes. In addition, the doctors across the country are trained on prevention and early diagnosis of cancer.
Thus, doctors of the Kazakh Research Institute of Oncology and Radiology have been trained at the The Institut Gustave-Roussy.
The Institut Gustave-Roussy is one of the world’s leading cancer-research institutes and the biggest[citation needed] health center dedicated to oncology in Europe together with the European Institute of Oncology in Milan. It is located in Villejuif, South Paris, France. It is named after Gustave Roussy, a Swiss-French neuropathologist.
