Hungary hosted 3rd Turan Kurultaj

On August 7-10, 2014 “The 3rd Turan Kurultaj” took place in Hungary, the Foreign Ministry reported.

The event was attended by the Minister of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan A.Muhamediuly, Chairman of the Committee of the Senate of Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan on constitutional legislation, judicial system and law enforcement bodies – Head of the Group for Cooperation with the Parliament of Hungary S.Akylbay, member of the Committee of the Senate of Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan on finance and budget – member of the Group for Cooperation with the Parliament of Hungary E.Mukayev, deputies of the Majilis of Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan U.Medeuov and T.Ibrayev, as well as by President of the Turkic Academy D.Kydyrali.

During the visit, Minister of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan A.Muhamediuly met with State Secretary – Deputy Minister of Human Resources of Hungary B.Rétvari, and discussed the state and prospects of cooperation between the two countries in the field of culture, according to MFA official website.

In addition, meetings of members of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan with deputies of the National Assembly of Hungary took place, within the framework of which parliamentarians discussed the issues of the Kazakh-Hungarian inter-parliamentary cooperation. A solemn reception in honour of the Kazakh parliamentary delegation was held in the building of the National Assembly of Hungary.

In Budapest, the Kazakh delegation visited the Astana street in the capital park “Városliget”, where the wreath-laying ceremony at the monument to Abai Kunanbayev took place.
