Astana to host int'l conference on organs donation and transplantation
Experts in the field of organ and tissue transplantation, representatives of various government agencies, religious and non-governmental organizations, lawyers, psychologists, and the recipients after transplantation of organs as well take part in the event.
Experts of world-wide reputation from the Czech Republic, Croatia, Russia, Belarus are among the guest speakers of the conference.
Within the meeting the leading experts in transplantology from Japan and South Korea will hold a master class on introduction of innovative technologies in the field related liver transplantation at the National Scientific Medical Centre and City Hospital #1 in," the National Science Cardiac Center reports.
Currently, advanced transplantation techniques have been successfully implemented at the level of world standards, not only in research centers of the country but also in regional hospitals, including technology for the implantation of artificial circulatory support devices of various modifications. A unique device Organ Care system is used for transporting donor hearts. The air ambulance capabilities are used to shorten the transportation. A national coordination center for organ transplantation with representatives in all regions is established.

In general, over the last year in the country conducted 163 transplants of donor organs. For the year to date -116 transplants of various organs.
