Net profit of KazMunaiGas Exploration Production JSC for the six months of 2014 year amounted to 210,3 billion tenge (1 193 million dollars ) compared with 38,8 billion tenge (257 million dollars) in the analogue period of the last mainly due to a significant pretax exchange adjustment revenues, acknowledged following the tenge devaluation in February 2014, “National Welfare Fund “Samruk Kazyna” JSC reported.
Revenue in the first six months of 2014 was 464.4 billion tenge what is by 21 percent higher in comparison with the analogue period of time of the 2013 year largely due to an increase in the average tenge-US dollar exchange rate following the tenge devaluation in this February.
The average price of Brent in the first six months of 2014 was 1 percent higher than in the same period of 2013, up from 107.5 to 108.9 dollars per barrel.
