Airport to be built for Kenderli resort area

An airport will be constructed for Kenderli resort area in accordance with the Presidential instruction voiced during the today’s enlarged meeting of the Government with participation of Head of State Nursultan Nazarbayev.
Besides, construction of a desalinating plant is also planned in the resort area in Mangystau region.
“We have started development of the project. But the process has suspended. It is necessary to build airport and desalinating plant, attract the Kazakhstan’s investors and place under the management to big tourist operator and then everything will be ok we have our own sea batheable for 4-5 month in the years and we need to use this advantage,” Nursultan Nazarbayev said.
In turn, Chairman of board of “National Welfare Fund “Samruk Kazyna” JSC Umirzak Shukeyev, according to the previous instruction of the Head of State, two hotels are expected to be built in the next two years.
