Kazakh Minister of Energy appointed

Vladimir Shkolnik appointed as Minister of new Ministry of Energy during the enlarged meeting of the Government on key points of economy and social development of the country with the participation of Nursultan Nazarbayev on Wednesday, August 6, 2014.
“Functions of ministries of oil and gas and industry and new technologies relating energy issues, ministry of environment and water resources relating environment protection, green economy development, including policy, coordination are delegated to the new Ministry of Energy ,” the President informed.
According to the Head of State, Vladimir Shkolnik is the most appropriate nominee Minister of Energy.
“At this stage he is the most experienced person in this filed. Uzakbay Karabalin will be the First Deputy Minister of Energy and the former Minister of Environment and Water Resources Nurlan Kapparov will chair “Kazatoprom” National Company,” Nazarbauyev resumed.
