E Kazakhstan & France discussed cooperation issues

Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of France to Kazakhstan Francis Etienne and leadership of East Kazakhstan region discussed extension of cooperation between France and East Kazakhstan in economy, tourism and culture.

According to the E Kazakhstan’s region information center the region has already cooperates with France in metallurgical field and titanium industry.

“We are ready to present projects to develop the Kazakh-French cooperation. We would like to establish cooperation in health care, education and culture,” the head of the region Berdybek Saparbayev informed.

Besides, tourism development in E Kazakhstan region was also discussed.

The cooperation prospects will be considered during three meetings of international level.

So, 50 French companies and Kazakh Ambassador Nurlan Donenov will meet September 1 in Paris to discuss cooperation projects of the East Kazakhstan region and France. An intergovernmental commission with participation of two ministers will be held on October 17 in Astana. Besides, the Presidents are expected to meet on December 5.

Following the results of the meeting Francis Etienne  proposed to select a candidate for honorary consul for France for East Kazakhstan.
