Kazakhstan paves perfect way for fishery breeding
Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of Fish industry Committee of the Ministry of Environment and Water Resources of Kazakhstan Kanat Musaparbekov has announced Kazakhstan has a sufficient resources and comfortable conditions for fishery breeding. Climatic conditions provide opportunities for the development of various areas of commercial fish breeding.
At the same time, the speaker pointed out that in terms of biodiversity conservation is becoming a priority the development of aquaculture.
"The development of aquaculture, both in terms of biodiversity conservation, and from the standpoint of food security is becoming a priority in order to reduce the commercial pressure. In this regard, the draft Program scheduled rational use of the resource potential of fishery water bodies through the development of commercial fish farming,” K. Musaparbekov informed.
According to him, the re-orientation from the fish industry to the commercial fishery will allow to relieve the additional pressure to fish resources of the natural reservoirs.
