Best Kazakhstani metallurgists honored in Astana
Best specialists of mining industry were awarded breast signs “Kenshi danky” and “Yenbek danky”. It should be noted that now the tradition to confer the honorary title “Kurmetty metallurgist” and “Kurmetty Kenshi” is being revived. Breastplate “Kurmetty metallurgist” is awarded to employees of metallurgical sector for excellent job of at least 20 years and who have breastplates “Yenbek danky” of three degrees.
Congratulating metallurgists with their professional holiday, the First Vice Minister of Industry and New Technologies Albert Rau mentioned the contribution of metallurgists to establishment of domestic mining and metallurgical complex.
According to him, currently, the MMC accounts for about 17% of industrial production in Kazakhstan. The industry employs around 300.000 staff in major industry, including 86.119 people in steel industry. The volume of production in metallurgical industry in 2010 increased from 1.569.9 billion tenge to 1.772 billion tenge in 2013. GVA of metallurgical industry in 2013 compared with 2010 increased by 35.6% and in nominal terms amounted to 1 221.1 billion tenge.
First Vice Minister of Industry and New Technologies Albert Rau noted the key role of NCE RK in development of the industry and emphasized that “the understanding of strategic priorities of the industry and the support of NCE RK allow the state to successfully fulfill the tasks for industrial and innovative development specified for mining and metallurgical sector”, according to palata.kz
