Equipment for EXPO 2017 facilities’ construction to be free – 1st Deputy PM
“Due to the initiative of Kazakhstan the EEC has decided to exempt from duties all material and equipment imported from Russian and Belarus for the EXPO 2017 facilities’ construction. It will allow to ensure investment attractiveness and a high level of the international exhibition organization,” Mr. Sagintayev said.
Besides, key issues of further development of the Customs Union, the Single Economic Space and the Eurasian Economic Union were on the agenda, the Kazakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.
In particular, plans on working out of necessary acts were developed in order to realize agreements under the EAEU Treaty signed on May 29 in Astana.
The participants also touched upon Carnet TIR (Transports Internationaux Routiers).
According to the First Deputy Premier, the sides agreed to open customs points in Bryansk and Voronezh regions for this business category. But these directions are not popular among the Kazakhstani tracking companies. That is why Sagintayev raised a question on possibility to cross customs posts in all profitable directions – Belgorod, Taganrog, the Caucasus posts from the North and West of our border line. This item will be considered by customs services of both countries in autumn this year.
By the way, in order to control the circulation of goods and ensure the legality of the import and production of goods, the EEC meeting participants discussed the feasibility of developing and subsequent introduction of labeling of individual products of light industry in the territories of CU and SES member states.
