EBRD presents project on rate management

Chairman of the Agency for the protection of competition Galym Irazbakov held a meeting with representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) who presented project of development of infrastructure and rate management in such spheres of the natural monopoly as gas transfer and storage, heat-electric energy generation, mails services, telecommunications and etc, the agency reported.
Presenting the project, the designers told about goals and expected effect from the realization of recommendations made by experts in sphere of rate management. The key goal of the project according to designers is rate management improvement.
In turn, the Chairman of the Agency spoke about the agency's initiative to reduce the number of regulated markets, and acquainted them with his vision of the functioning of tariff controls
During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of cooperation between the Agency and EBRD within the project’s preparing.
