Number of passengers increase by 44% in spring and summer due to electric train input

Over 61 thousand more passengers (44%) made use of the electric trains in spring and summer between Astana and neighboring regions compared the same period of the last year, “KazakhstanTemirZholy” JCS teported.
"The growth has been reached due to the introduction of new modern trains and increasing the frequency of routes. In particular, Astana - Burabai resort area a new electric train launched on June 24. Since the beginning of the year five new trains Astana - Karaganda, Astana - Kokshetau, Astana - Resort Burabai, Astana - Pavlodar were launched,” a statement reads.
