Zhumagaliyev: Remote communities’ de- internetization to be realized by 2017
"It is necessary to develop telecommunications sector through prism of the new technologies. Telecommunications sphere is a dynamic sector. Currently internet penetration has reached more than 70 percent in Kazakhstan, as for the mobile communication, penetration we exceeded the threshold of 160 percent," A. Zhumagaliyev noted.
In addition, he added the development of fiber optic infrastructure for de-internetization of the remote communities is continued. "We plan to realize this project in the next three years," – the Minister said.
Herewith, the head of the Agency informed Kazakhstan ranked 28th in e-government development.
"We intend develop further the electronic government due to permits’ automation,” Zhumagaliyev resumed.
