Astana hosts RCC heads Council

Joint 49th meeting of the Council of heads of Regional Commonwealth in the field of Communications (RCC) and 20th Coordinating Council of the CIS member states on informatization attached to RCC is taking place in Kazakhstan for the first time.

Outcomes of the RCC heads in World Conference on development of electrical telecommunication ITU and realization of Cooperation Strategy of the CIS member states in development of the information society for period till 2015 year are expected to be touched upon during the meeting.

Besides, head of the Agency of Kazakhstan on communication and information Askar Zhumagaliyev will inform on activities relating introduction of new telecommunication services in Kazakhstan and further development of information and communications technologies (ICT.)

In addition, the meeting will define the ICT development strategy in CIS countries up to 2025 and consider the possibility of providing confidence services to users in the CIS member states in their electron interaction.

It should be remembered, E-government Global Forum 2014, with participation of leading international experts in the field of information and communication technologies and the development of e-government will take place on 6-7 October 2014 in Astana.
