KZT 127 mln allocated for forest planting along Astana –Schuchinsk highway

Speaking at the meeting in Akmola region Governor’s Office, head of regional department of natural resources and regulation of environmental management Ruslan Aubakirov noted 127 860 thousand tenge was allocated for forest planting along the Astana-Schuchinsk highway.

The process has been started in 2009. 4500 seedling of conifers and
deciduous trees have been planted at 1828.7 hectares in 2012. 291 669 tenge have been allocated for the allocated for the care of forest plantations, “ the regional administration reports.

Currently, uniting of the capital’s green belt with forest of Akkol area in Akmola region and Schuchinsk –Borovoye resort area is continued. Sergey Kulagin instructed to continue the process on increase the forest area, and monitoring the fire situation and deforestation.

Measures to combat pests and diseases of crops were touched upon the staff meeting. This year, chemical protective measures on a total area of 1 million 672 thousand hectares are planned on especially dangerous pests in the Akmola region according to the state budget program.
