“Altyn Ulki 2014” int'l snipers competition started in Karaganda region

“Altyn Ulki 2014” Special Operations Command International Sniper Competition kicked off today July 14 in Spassk military training center in Karaganda region.
Shooters from Britain, India, Jordan, Kazakhstan, China, Pakistan, Russia, USA and Turkey will participate in the annual event organized by the Kazakh Defense Ministry.
According to the Ministry of Defense, the finalists of the competition wil be named in following categories: "Obstacle", "Shooting with the movement", "Pendulum", "Checkpoint", "Snipers’ duel ", etc.
The tournament is taking place in four stages. It will run until July 19.
Opening the international competition, commander of the military unit General Major Oleg Bizhanov noted the every participant has own secrets and methods of the shooting.
“This Central Asian Forum of snipers all participants share experience and hone their skills,” Bizhanov said.
