Cultural policy realization mechanisms reviewed in Astana

The Kazakh Research Institute of Culture held a round table on theme "Basic principles and mechanisms of the cultural policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan" in frames o public discussion of the draft Concept of cultural policy in Kazakhstan.

The main goal of the Concept is development of a single multinational cultural space of the country, forming of competitive cultural mentality, creating of modern cultural clusters. Currently the cultural development and cultural potential is a part of the priorities of many world states’ development, the Ministry of Culture informed.

The roundtable participants expressed that cultural policy as the main ideological platform each successful state forms the main society's values and the creative beginning of the individual. Despite the stereotype the majority culture  is the branch of leisure and entertainment, first and foremost, you need to consider culture as a powerful tool for the formation of a national ideology, spiritual development and positioning of the country in world space.

"Strategic dominant of the new cultural policy is the national idea" Mangilik Yel initiated by the Head of State and designed to consolidate the people of Kazakhstan, with its rich cultural heritage and creativity to the successful achievement of the goal on joining kazakhstan top 30 developed countries of the world," Deputy Director General of the KazNII of Culture Andrey Khazbulatov said.

"One of the most important criteria for success, according to experts, is the level of cultural development, the presence of a well functioning infrastructure of cultural institutions and mechanisms. All this should ensure the preservation and enrichment of the national and world cultural heritage, creation, broadcast and consumption of high-quality cultural values, cultural exchanges and fruitful spiritual and creative self-realization," the report reads.
