Defense Minister Akhmetov visited Aktau military garrison

The Minister got acquainted with the functioning  and  the current situation at the military garrison. 

Serik Akhmetov has heard reports from commanders on the organization  concerning  military combat training, maintaining the technical potential of weapons and military equipment, readiness to receive and operation of new types of weapons and military equipment supplied under the state defense order. 

The Minister also paid special attention to the social component of life of personnel, the implementation of the Defense Ministry's programs  for the construction of housing for servicemen, further improvement of living conditions and services. 

During the visit  the Defense  Minister has familiarized with the training center, a training station naval base. 

it bear reminding  the Regional Command "Zapad" (West) was established in 2003. The main objective of the command is ensuring security of the state border, territorial integrity and economic interests in the Kazakh sector of the Caspian Sea.
