Food production becomes country’s key development factor – Head of State
According to the press service of Akorda the Head of State familiarized with “Bayserke-Agro" academic research and production center’s activity. It should be noted the Center was established at the premises of the Kazakh National Agrarian University.New varieties of crops, different kinds of pesticides, bio-fertilizers and veterinary drugs created by Kazakhstani scientists on the basis of "Bayserke-Agro" were presented to the President
In addition Nursultan Nazarbayev also reviewed different types of modernized agricultural machinery and livestock facilities.
The President of Kazakhstan has emphasized the use of modern scientific techniques and developments are necessary for the effective development of agriculture.
"Food production is becoming a key factor of the country’s development. The world population will increase to 9 billion by 2050, and this will require doubling of agricultural products' manufacturing. Kazakhstan is well positioned to take this niche. We have vast areas of land. At the same time, agriculture cannot develop without new technologies. We have to use all the power of science" the Kazakh Leader resumed.
