Unique ethnographic artefacts exhibited in national Museum of Kazakhstan
The exhibition features more than 400 artefacts including tools and machines, costume complexes, furnishings, decorations riding and pack animals, tissue samples, carpets and embroideries, the attributes of the wedding ritual, Islamic cult objects, etc., the Ministry of Culture of Kazakhstan reports.
A detailed catalogue on textiles production technology was published. It includes items of the history of this period, and public relations.
As reported earlier, on July 3 the leaders of the National Museum of Kazakhstan and the Russian Museum of Ethnography, signed cooperation memorandum.
"Traditional Textiles of Central Asia and the Caucasus - a heritage of the Great Silk Road" exhibition is the first joint project of the two largest museums of Russia and Kazakhstan.
The exhibition will lasts until September 1, 2014.
