Kazakhstan to launch e-visa issuing in 2016

“Kazakhstan will launch electronic visa system in a year and a half,” First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Rapil Zhoshybayev announced at a press briefing of the Central Communications Service in Astana today July 10, 2014.
“We have analyzed world community where the electronic format dominates including e-visas, electronic border crossing, and etc. and we are working on the introduction of such a system. It could be launched in a year and a half,” the First Deputy Foreign Minister reported.
Besides, the speaker noted the MFA will present a large visa policy program following the approve by the Government in the near future.
It will be a great progress to ease border crossing, migration registration, and the safety issues. The electronic visas exclude the human contact. In order to get the Kazakhstani visa anywhere it is enough to fill out the visa regime requirements," he added.
