MFA: Visas for investors could be prolonged until three years (BRIEFING VIDEO)

10 July, 2014 13:32
Speaking during the today’s press conference in the Central Communications Service, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Rapil Zhoshybayev informed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan may extend the visa for foreign investors engaged in joint investment projects in Kazakhstan, until three years.

“Beginning from July 15 citizens of 10 states holding all types of passports could multiply entry, exit and transit through the territory of Kazakhstan without a visa for up to 15 days. Herewith the number of the visits is not limited,” Zhosybayev stated.

As the First Deputy Foreign Minister noted the period of stay (15 days could not be prolonged) except the business visits.

"It is important to have a reasoned application of the Kazakh Partnership to local migration authorities. Then the migration authorities may extend the staying of foreign citizens by registration of business short-term single entry permit up to 30 days,”  he added

If the citizens of the 10 states realize joint investments projects during their staying in Kazakhstan, the Kazakhstani partners should apply to Investment Committee of the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of Kazakhstan to confirm the status “investor.”

Then the Kazakh foreign authority will issue investor’s single entry permit up to 90 days. If it is necessary the visa could be prolonged up to three years,” Zhosybayev concluded.
