President’s Cup Int’l Boxing Tournament kicked off in Almaty

IV International Boxing Tournament the President’s Cup” under the aegis International Boxing Federation is going to be held July 8 -13 in Almaty Baluan Sholak Sports Palace.
Currently participation in the competition was confirmed by boxers from 12 countries: Kazakhstan, Cuba, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Mongolia, Armenia, Turkmenistan, Philippines, Ukraine, Thailand, Azerbaijan and Iraq.
Cup of the President of Kazakhstan is the final tournament in preparation for the national team of Kazakhstan for the main starts of the year - Summer Asian Games in Incheon.
Of the existing such Kazakh boxers Birzhan Zhakipov and Ivan Dychko won President’s Cup gold medals (twice), Serik Sapiev was the best for three times.
