Western Europe — Western China road has the future: Expert

The international transit corridor "Western Europe — Western China" will bring not only economic benefits, but also considerably will strengthen the Customs Union. Such opinion was expressed by the chairman of the international labor union of workers of transport and road economy Alexander Shurikov.

"Western Europe — Western China" is very perspective road. It is necessary to the countries. This road has a future. It will connect two industrial regions — Europe and China. And China, as we know, now develops very roughly. It will be expensive big goods turnover," A.Shurikov emphasized. The highway will strengthen the Customs Union. How many administrative, corruption barriers regarding movement of motor transport the given union already solved for today.

At the same time, the head of labor union noted considerable plus to CU strengthening, including, the increasing orientation of highways in Central Asian countries to China, at the expense of investments poured in by it.

As for roadside infrastructure, according to Shurikov, in Russia it "starts waking up only".  In particular, the solution of infrastructure questions is designated in recently accepted transport strategy of the country provided till 2019. 

"I can tell, they are solved, and, in a good key" — the chairman of the international labor union told, having added, as in Kazakhstan the roadside infrastructure is for today "only in an initial stage".

Let's remind, Kazakhstan takes part in the international motor rally "Western Europe — Western China" which started on August 27. Total number of participants — 55 people, enter into a motorcade 10 cars and one road laboratory which will present results of conducted research on quality of a paving in three countries following the results of a trip.
