Kazakhstan & Space international conference took place in Astana
“The first space-flight of the independent Kazakhstan came into sovereign state development history and turned to be one of the momentous events of country’s history,” First Vice Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Bakhytzhan Sagintayev said.
Officials of the Republic of Kazakhstan, heads and experts of foreign national space agencies and leading space companies from Russia, Ukraine, France, Germany, Great Britain, Japan, the Netherlands, Romania, scientists, experts, representatives of the public, specialists domestic space sphere participated in the conference, Kazcosmos informed.
Kazakhstan’s achievements and prospects in the field of space activities and issues of further integration into the global space community were discussed at the meeting.
Besides the participants shared experiences and scientific achievements in space.
A photo exhibition showing the path of space sphere in Kazakhstan was organized within the conference.
In addition, foreign guests including well-known Russian cosmonauts Yuri Malenchenko, Yuri Baturin, head of the Gagarin Cosmonauts Training Center in Russia, cosmonaut Yuri Lonchakov, USSR cosmonaut Anatoly Artsebarsky and others visited the construction site of the Astana National Space Centre.
Also planned the participants are expected to visit the ground control spacecraft in Akkol.
