Kazakhstan in figures: Number of foreigners visiting country rose by 11%

According to the Agency of Kazakhstan for Statistics, a number of foreign visitors amounted to 6.8 million people in 2013 that is by 11 percent more compared with the analogue period of 2012 year (6.1 million people.)
In 2011-2013 general number of foreign people visiting Kazakhstan amounted to 18.6 million people, including 5.6 million people - in 2012. The growth was equal 39 percent compared with the same period of 2010 (4 million people), in 2012- 6.1 million people that is by 8.4 percent more in comparison with 2011 (5.6 million people), in 2013 - 6.8 million people, compared to the same period in 2012 an increase amounted to 11% ( 6.1 million people), the press service of the Committee of the Tourism Industry reported.
Citizens from CIS countries visit Kazakhstan most often: Uzbekistan (2.4 million), Russia (1.7 million), Kyrgyzstan (1.3 million). As for the foreign countries: China (205 thousand), Turkey (92 thousand), Germany (75.4 thousand).
