Parliament finished 3rd session of 5th convocation

“The Parliament of Kazkahstan has finished its third session, having adopted above 100 draft laws,” Chairman of the Majilis Kabibulla Dzhakupov noted speaking at the joint session of the Houses of the Kazakh Parliament today June 30, 2014.

“The Kazakh Parliament has finished the third session of the fifth convocation. This convocation was charged to provide economic and social modernization of Kazakhstan in its intension to join top-30  worlds’ most developed countries. 154 draft laws were considered by the Parliament from the beginning of the third session. Among them 114 were submitted by the Government, 11 – initiated by the MPs. 104 laws were passed, 80 -have already signed by the President of Kazakhstan.

 According to the Majilis Chairman, the improvement of legislation in sphere of the state budget for 2014-2016 years, where the fulfillment of social obligations of the state in its entirety, issues of employment, modernization of social infrastructure, regional development, support for small and medium businesses redistributed about 102 billion tenge - is among the most important

“Compelling stand of Parliament while considering the increase in tax rates on housing and transportation, sparked public outcry.as a result, the equitable decision was made,” the Speaker stated.
