“Sabantuy-2014” - holiday of fruitfulness, friendship and labor

Deputies of Majilis of the Parliament, members of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan, representatives of Astana city akimat, heads of metropolitan ethnocultural associations, as well as residents and guests of the capital are invited to the event.

The festive concert program starts at 11.00. There all guests can taste Tatar and Bashkir national cuisine. In addition to this there will be contests, traditional competitions (running with a shoulder-yoke, running in bags, etc.), sport competitions (“Korash” – belt wrestling, “Arkan tartysh” – tug of war), and children will take part in merry entertaining games organized at a special ground. Winners and participants of contests and competitions will get valuable prizes and gifts.

As is known, sabantuy is a bright holiday of Tatar and Bashkir peoples being a meeting place for friends and relatives. Its conduct in our city has become a good tradition playing important role in education of kindness, justice, friendship and tolerance.
