Workshop promoting justice reform held in Kazakhstan
Members of the Parliament, representatives of Presidential Administration, the Supreme Court, the General Prosecutor’s Office, ministries of justice, internal affairs, the European Union project and foreign lawyers took part the event, the Ministry of Justice reported.
Rationalization of justice administration, criminal proceeding system’s humanization, strengthening of lawyers’ status focused on defining of criteria for law services market and expert activity development were touched upon during the workshop.
Kazakh Justice Minister Berik Imashev noted the initiatives of the supremacy of law are successful model which support partners from Central Asia in sphere law and judicial reforms, thereby contributing the development of stable and democratic legal system , functioning of legal institutions, the promotion and protection of human rights and freedoms.
Following the workshop recommendations will be made in these areas to facilitate the introduction of international standards of judicial reforms.
