“Astana-Zelenstroy” JSC is engaged in maintenance of 36 city fountain complexes consisting of 120 fountains.

Fountains in Astana represent inimitable decoration of the capital, they are diverse in design and equipped with modern devices. Almost all modern fountains are operated through software regulating the movement and changing of patterns, light and music. The key moment in construction of any fountain is water actuation through pressure created by pumps.

It’s worth noting that “Astana-Zelenstroy” JSC is engaged in maintenance of 36 city fountain complexes, including such procedures as sanitary maintenance of fountain basins, adding chemical agents to the water, maintenance of technological and electrical equipment. Currently the enterprise is responsible for 36 fountain complexes consisting of 120 fountains.

As is known, in order to provide smooth operation of fountains there has to be permanent supervision of specialists, conduct of preventive and repair works, and for the winter period all fountains are conserved and then reactivated. Deactivation works include full dewatering and water discharge, dismantling of outdoor equipment, caps, covering of reservoirs from snow and ice, installation of heater units in underground engineering rooms. With the advent of spring and after snow melts fountains are reactivated, all equipment is installed, needed repair works are performed and a test launching is conducted.

“Traditionally all fountains in the city are started in the Morning on May 1. Mostly all fountains are turned on at 08.00 and work till 24.00, and 2 service breaks are provided over a day, usually from 11.00 to 12.00 and from 16.00 to 17.00.”
