Senate Okays law on lifetime monthly material support for sportsmen and coachers

Today during the plenaryy session, the Senate of the Parliament of Kazakhstan has adopted the Law "On physical culture and sports," approved by the Majilis.
Chairman of the Agency for Sports and Physical Education Tastanbek Esentaiyev noted that the bill is to improve the legislative framework in this area in the light of current trends and legal relations. In addition, according to the draft, the list of persons, entitled to receive lifetime monthly material support, has been included the athletes with disabilities - champions of Paralympic and Deaflympic Games.
Lifetime pension will be equaled to 24 MCI per month which is about 45 thousand tenge.
The draft law is supplemented by provisions that require the athletes to know the national anthem of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
