Kazakh FM met with OSCE High Commissioner Astrid Thors
Idrissov informed above 120 nationalities, 30 religious confessions live at the territory of Kazakhstan.
The Foreign Minister called HCNM to use potential and opportunities of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan, allowing to solve issues of interethnic relations’ development at the highest level. It was noted Kazakhstan has maximal comfortable conditions for the development of all ethnic groups, free functioning of ethnic cultural associations, conservation of language, traditions and culture, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs.
Kazakh FM stressed that issues of interethnic and interreligious harmony are of strategic importance for Kazakhstan and only due careful attitude to atmosphere of mutual respect among the various nationalities inhabiting Kazakhstan it is possible to build a prosperous, free society and the achievement of the objectives of the Strategy "Kazakhstan-2050".
In turn, Astrid Thors emphasized, in her view, progress in socio-economic development of Kazakhstan became possible primarily due to inter-ethnic peace and interfaith harmony in the country.
