Kazakhstan Temir Zholy to build new rail way station in Astana by 2017 - Transport Minister

Speaking during the CCS media Briefing on results of Government sitting, Transport and Communications Minister Zhenis Kassymbek informed Kazakhstan Temir Zholy JSC will build a new rail way station by EXPO 2017.
“The passenger’s flow through Astana growths annually. The Astana railway station exceeds it designed project capacity by 30 percent. That is why KTZ JSC has started to construct a new building of railway station with capacity up to 35 thousand of passengers a day and we plan the new railway station will be commissioned by 2017 as it is one of the EXPO 2017 facilities,” the Minister stated.
According to him, KTZ plans to launch ‘Zhezkazgan- Beine’ and ‘Arkalyk –Shubarkol’ trains.
