A new administration and amenity building “Astana - Regional Electric Grid Company” JSC is to be opened in Astana on the eve of the Day of Capital.

For the first time ever the enterprise will have its own building with repair workshops, canteen, gym, checkrooms, shower, and office rooms for work with consumers," Chairman of board of “Astana – REC” JSC Alexander Smorodin informed.

As of today, the main project is almost completed for development of the city’s energy system – construction of a ring around Astana with three master substations “Batys”, “Dostyk”, “and “Shygys”. This will allow enhancing the capacity of electric networks from 550 to 1500 MW.

Substations are the insurance from accidents in electricity supply of the city. These substations power different parts of the city, and electricity can be supplied to the city to the maximum through these lines.
