'Almaty- Taldykorgan' highway 's reconstruction to be completed in 2016
This year, on the 245 km sections, the ground works were performed in the volume of 2.2 thousand m3, 24.3 km of bottom course of sand-gravel mixture 27 km of lower layer and 24 km of top layer of macadam-sand mixture, 14 km of cement-concrete coat were laid, and the assembly and repair of 47 artificial constructions were accomplished. In parallel, In parallel, the assembly of trench drains and construction of water intake chambers and wells are performed; rotational camps were built for workers, and also the bases were arranged there for repair and maintenance of road construction machinery.
Altogether, 1,008 units of road construction machinery were mobilized to working on the section, and 1,787 jobs were created.
Reconstruction of Almaty – Taldycorgan road is intended for 2016.
