KazEOSat-2 satellite launched from Yasniy cosmodrome

The second Kazakhstan remote sensing satellite KazEOSat-2 has been launched successfully from the Yasniy cosmodrome on June 20.
The satellite has left the ground Friday 1:11 am of Astana time in Orenburg, Russia.
The launch of the satellite was made by Dnepr rocket-carrier built on the basis of an intercontinental ballistic missile RS-20, the Kazcosmos press service said.
KazEOSat-2 - Kazakhstan Earth Observation Satellite - was designed to provide a full range of services of remote sensing, to take pictures of the Republic of Kazakhstan and other parts of the earth for the purpose of monitoring, disaster prevention, conducting land registry, and other.
