Senate ratified loan deal for improvement of justice system with IBRD

Loan Agreement for the Project for institutional strengthening of the justice sector between Kazakhstan and the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development has ratified at the plenary session of the Upper House of the Kazakh Parliament under the chairmanship of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on June 19 in Astana.
"Kazakhstan has signed the loan agreement with the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development in order to finance the project for institutional strengthening of the justice sector. The project goal is to improve the legal system of Kazakhstan through strengthening service quality and efficiency of the Ministry of Justice and professionalism of judges," Minister of Justice Berik Imashev stated.
According to the Minister, the loan is given for 15 years.
